is there a thread here about how many miles you have?

i tried to search for a thread about how many miles everyone has on their engines but could not find anything, except one but it was all powerstrokes. I am wondering if someone can point me in the direction of a thread that has this info - just wondering how much you can get out of a 6.9/7.3 idi.
i was talking to someone the other day who said he did an engine swap for his landlord a while back (probably to pay his rent so i don't think he was lying) and he said the 7.3 idi had 800,000 before it locked up and had to be replaced. That sounds like quite a bit to me - what do you think?

120K miles and counting, well not right now but that will be resolved in the next week. And I know this thing has been babied around from when it was first bought by my grandfather. I rode with him in it many countless hours and I'm pretty sure I never heard him go over 2400rpm's with it. So it should last me a long time.

I know there are a couple people on here that have a bunch of miles on there IDI's before they let go and what not, hopefully they will chime in.

Daughter's '91 has 205,000 and runs great. Wife's '91 has 186,000 and runs great. My '92 that I sold a year and a half ago had 254,000 on it and had at least that much left in it.

93 na idi 240,000 and runs fine. Has rebuilt FI pump, but I doubt it if there has been any other work done on it.

163K bought when it had 72K in 2001 so I added almost 100K in 6 years. Everything is original on the engine except for starter, alternator, glow plugs and replaced the original lift pump at 160K.

My engine was destroyed by cavitation once or twice. Hopefully not anymore though... but the truck itself still looks brand new with 355,000 miles on her.

All of them sold now but my '85 had 445k on the 6.9 when it let go truck now has well over 500k on it 95% of that trailer pulling miles. The '86 had 236k when I sold it. Only internal repairs in it was a couple of bad rockers. Still see it driving around seems like the new owners are ******* it.
The '89 had 193k on it when sold. It's working on a farm now.
