My engine was destroyed by cavitation once or twice. Hopefully not anymore though... but the truck itself still looks brand new with 355,000 miles on her.

was this due to not using the coolant conditioner or something else?
thanks,
paul

I got over 300,000 miles out of my old motor before i overheated it on a trip and cracked the head!! I still drove it over 4 hrs and made it 20 miles from home. The new motor is an 83 and has a few miles on it but it starts in 0* temps with little effort.;Sweet

My 92 is kicking a little over 116K. Stock, I removed the frozen A/C, it had the idle pully replaced, other than that it is covered in grey paint ;)

First time it happened we didn't even know coolant additives existed. After it was destroyed we found out about them and then got a letter from ford about it saying we should add it before the engine was destroyed. Second time my dad and brother were lazy about it and by the time i got it and added the stuff it was too late. This time I try to keep the levels pretty high in the system. I need a new rad though because it's got a crack or something along one of the top seams and keeps leaking coolant out. -cuss

277,000 on my 93, but it needs a little work. Made it to the rally and then to Mt Rushmore towing a travel trailer, though.
