Is it a 6.9 or 7.3?

Got the new starter relay installed and . wiring hooked up correctly to the GP controller on my 90 f250. Noticed a couple of glow plugs have been spliced to the spade terminal type[6.9?] So knowing that the PO had the eng- trans changed about a year ago, how do I tell if this is a 7.3 idi? It still has a 5 speed. thanks, glenn

here are several ways to determine what block you have. The first and easy way is fit a socket on t head bolts. If a 1/2 socket fits its a 7.3. If a 7/16 socket fits its a 6.9. Theother sure way is clean off the blocserial numbers found just to the drives side of the injection pump gear cover. It will say either 6.9 or 7.3 in the number sequence. Really easy to know whatyou have..
