I read the info on the 203 degree t-stat. Sounds good to me. Is anyone running one on an IDI?

We only have one thermosat for our motors and thats the Ford part number E5TZ-8575-G and its a 192 degree stat. This is the same stat that International-Navistar sells but they have a differant part number.

I think the 203* T-stat is for a PSD. It seems that only the Ford or IH thermostat performs adequately, because most thermostats have an internal bypass which is unneeded and unwanted in these motors since they already have a bypass. In theory an stat that fits and has the stock opening temp and no bypass should work, but I'm not going to experiment with my engine when the stock part is affordable, available and lasts practically forever.

I just put one in my PSD today! It warms up a lot faster and i hope to get better mpg, It was never getting to the O in NORMAL on the dash, now it goes to the R/M. But i believe it is a PSD item.:dunno
