Help with timing meter (Alltest 3900)

Wondering if anyone out there uses a Timing meter similar to the one below. (It's a luminosity meter.) I recently bought this meter and did not get any instructions. From my recent searches on the forum it seems that most meters should be set to 20 Deg. Offset but when I set my meter to 20 offset and increase the RPM to 2K the display switches from displaying degrees to displaying RPM's. Was looking forward to checking the timing of my pump especially since I got to install my new BB's (Thanks Typ4).
