IP differences 6.9/7.3IDIT

I am thinking about buying a newish IP that was rebuilt at OFI.

It was installed on a 6.9. I would be tossing it on my 7.3 idit. Just turn the fuel up a little and call it good? Or should I look for a turbo pump?

Why are you doing this... Is the pump a good deal and you can't pass it up or is money an issue and this came along at the right time... Either way its going to work. Not knowing whats the replacement reason is going to make a differance. turning it up is ok but drive it first. then see what turning it up may do. I know its a simple job to turn it up before its installed. But if you do turn it up before and its too high your goung to be opening the pump to turn it down just the same as opening it to turn it up... Flip a coin about up or down or leave it as is if you install it...

yep - turn her up and slap her on. It will work. disclaimer is watch your temps when you get on her.

My IP is still working but I have a feeling it is to blame for the sluggish feeling. It's cheap and was done by a reputable place so I figured if it would fuel the idit it would be good to pick up and have in hand.
I'm not in the market for a new IP but if it saves me a few hundred in the near future I should probably grab it.

No real meaningful difference in any of the IDI pumps except the turbo pumps are turned up a bit. I'd go probably on flat (60*) up (tightening the screw) and see how it does. Just watch the pyro.
