intermittent poor connections?

Problem is that, to fire my truck in the cold, I need to cycle the ignition (turn off then on again) a few times for the clow plugs to work properly. Now I know if there going to work by looking at the volt meter, and seeing what the power draw is.
Im assuming this is a ground/connection problem. So are there some connections or grounds that are common to have poor connections and I should check?

The GP controller itself, is grounded at the back of the driver's side head. This is an especially important ground for the GP's. Find that wire and take the bolt holding it out. Clean the connector and it's mating surface very well. You should also disconnect both batteries and clean all the contacts on the GP relay. Your sig doesn't have your truck's details in it.. If you have a solit state controller, make sure that you clean the contacts at both ends of the slinky.

Double check the Glow plug relay on the controller if you have the solid state controler just went through the same thing to find out the relay was worn out. Make sure all glow plugs are working also.
