I just finished putting together my own version of many intakes I've seen on this site. In doing so I reused the old flexible ribed intake tube that use to connect the old air cleaner to the old snorkle. Was this OK to do, or will it give me any trouble? It seemed to easy I just wonder why I haven't heard of anyone else using this flexible tube for that application.

I like your setup, nice job. What filter did you use?

Only suggestion I have is to get a prefilter "bag" for the K&N. I've found too many "dusted" turbos due to the filter letting fine particulates through. This product can be found with the off-road product websites.
