I just did it with my own. Have to gently remove the old one and clean all the gasket material off, then seal around all the intake and coolant ports with RTV (I use Yamabond).
I resealed the one on my dad's truck, and it's holding up just fine. Other members have done it to their truck in the last 5ish years with good results. As long as everything is clean when it goes back together you'll be fine.
Yep. I did that on my Blue Truck almost four years ago. I rebuilt the engine and one of the lifters that I reused wasn't strong enough for the Comp 910 valve springs. I installed new lifters but didn't want to buy a new intake gasket since the truck hadn't run long enough to even open the thermostat. That's not the first time that I've done that a time or two in the past also.
