Instant Email Notification no worky

I have set "Instant Email Notification" for my last 10 posts and have not received any email notices. I have an email address registered with the site. Does anyone else experience this, or is there a trick I don't know about?

Check your spam settings.... I have several threads I am subscribed to..... and it seems to be working fine.....

Wouldn't you know it. I made no changes but went to my email to check on the spam setting and there are 2 notifications from Oilburners. The first I have seen in months! I work in the technology field and I still sometimes say: "technology!"
