These look better than the rails for the most part. Too bad I just received the rails I ordered for my 94 a couple of weeks ago. The rails are fine, and you only have to mess with them once, but… this looks much easier.

Pick your poison. I reckon I’ll just stick with the rails.

I wouldn't recommend paint or powdercoat mainly because it can add unnecessary thickness to the I.D. of the part and possibly contamination in the fuel system. One the other hand I think anodizing would be a great option. It's also very easy to do once you get set up. Other than that I think you have a VERY needed product in the IDI market. I bought two Delphi return line kits. One for a 7.3 and 6.9. Both had oversized return caps (all caps that have turns) but all the straights were...Ok?. These caps leaked and caused hard starts and fuel leaks all down the valley. The oversized caps were around (.010") too big.

I found the exact same thing, although I didn’t put together that the inline ones were acceptable. I actually copied some Chinese ones first and when they leaked I was like, what the heck. That’s how I figured out that the diameters were different than oem

Ive seen ya on the FB pages, Thanks for making new products for the IDI.

The alum caps have always been talked about on here, and a few random sets made. Although back then machining costs were higher, but the technology has vastly improved, which has driven down costs, so they seem more economical.

I thought… at one point, somebody made some return caps from brass… is that right? I can’t remember for sure…

Dregs garage - he has a profile on here and FB - I talked to him about a set a year ago, but decided to go with the bars from Justin. His looked exactly like the plastic ones - seeing these options, I think i prefer the larger / block-ier approach - i think i would be less worried about dropping and breaking these versus the brass ones.

I've gotten a few sets of Dregs' return caps. They're great, no complaints. He only makes them intermittently, so it's great that there's another source for metal caps that are actually right.

Folks, if you install a set of these aluminum caps, post up some pictures!

Hello,

I've had some interest on other pages for my aluminum return line caps. I recently began machining them from 6061 aluminum and have some sets in stock. I will continue machining them as needed. If you're interested, head on over to my ebay page and get more info!

Those are interesting, but can give a tip on making them more leak proof with out need for clamps. Instead of going with micro rib, use a push-loc barb instead and this fitting is one that could be used to get spec of it. Its sharp and will cut the hose if used with a clamp, also are hard to put on but when on need cut for removal.

Then use a hose to that spec, like parker push-loc or eaton easy couple hose in the -04 size as two name can think of. This is the eaton easy couple hose for that size and it come in many colors, its what I have for all my fuel hose and have never had them leak over years of use.

EATON H20104

There is 6 push-loc in this photo, 2 are hidden behind the filter head out of sight. These fitting and the others that are the same, have never given issues and have up to -12 in use on this truck with out leaking.
