I found a 95 f450 superduty that it being parted out. I 150 a good deal for all the parts needed for a hydroboost conversion? And what tools would I need to take everything off?

I know that I need the power steering pump, all the hoses, the HB unit and the MC.

I was also think I heard that I need to grab the brake pedal as well. Is this everything that will be needed to swap over to my truck?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes... Thats about it. The peddle is held in place by a long pin that has pin clips on both ends. They pull off easily. Take the pin and all the plastic bushing. Yours may need to be replaced. Actually all the need is the power steering pump plastic resivour. It just presses on. All you need to do is remove the high pressure fitting and pull the housing off the pump. Or look up in the parts bin for the Ford part number and buy iy new. I think they are around $25.00.... I use deep sockets for the removal. Under the dash the nuts are 9/16 and thats about it other than the hose fittings.

IIRC. After you remove the hydroboost, there are only a couple of bolts holding the pedal assembly on the inside. It would be easier to just remove the whole bracket.

That doesnt sound to bad. I need to pull my whole pedal assembly anyway, the dang thing squeals whenever I push the clutch in.

Look down the radiator fill hole. count the number of tubes running front to back. Or you could try to look down the side of the radiator by the tanks and count the tubes going front to back.

If the hydroboost's known to be in good working order, $150 sounds fair...if it's in unknown condition, the price sounds high to me. Also, the pedal assembly for a '92-'97 truck is different enough from an '87-'91 truck that AFAIK it can't really be made to work. You could find an '87-'91 F-450 and pull the pedal assembly, or it's possible to modify the pedal assembly on your truck (have the pin re-welded in the correct location, which is what I'm going to have to do on my '84 when I do this swap)...

BTW, you don't NEED the power steering pump. You can pull the reservoir off the F-450 pump and put it on your truck...AFAIK the only difference between the two pumps (other than that the '95 probably has a serpentine belt pulley) is that the reservoir on the F-450 pump has two hose return fittings.

Ill probably leave the pump then, I have a new one sitting in the garage. If anything, I find a way to make the newer pedal work. Anything is possible with a welder and a little common sense.

Without having taken a close look at a '92-'97 pedal assembly myself, I've been told that the differences are significant enough that adapting it to fit is considered to be more trouble than it's worth. IIRC (based on what was explained to me) the underside of the dash (including the pedal assembly) was completely redone between '91 and '92 to brace for a driver's side airbag that was first installed in '95 or so. IIRC one of the dash mounting points is to the pedal assembly, so you'll have to relocate that as well as any other mounts.

If you end up doing it, post pics! It would be interesting to see what all you had to change around...

Im waiting to hear back from the guy on what time will work to go and get it.

Hopefully I'll get it installed some time this summer, Ive got to get my VW running first so that I have some sort of transportation.

Im finally out of class and the list of things that need to be done have been growing since they started. Ball joints, tie rods, new shock mount for the rearend, and possibly stacks if my boss brings them back from California.

Hopefully the installation will go rather smoothly(except for the pedal). If not I'll figuring something out, and if I can't, Im sure with the help of all of you, it can be accomplished.

The install is an afternoon job if you have all the parts available when you start. Not too bad.
