I pulled the hydrobost and master cylinder out of a 1988 fsuperduty and put it in my 93 f350. I used the power steering pump form my 93 and just swapped the tank that was easier than swapping the pulley.

You change the power steering tank because it has two return line points instead of one. One for hydro boost one for power steering nuff said!

I imagine if you search and read the threads here on that particular swap most of the questions you may have will be answered!

The hydroboost unit, the brake peddle and the master cylinder are what you want. Our vacuum brakes have 1000 lbs of pressure available to stop us. The hydroboost has 2200 lbs to stop us and they use a 1 5/16 master cylinder. Its a great addition to our trucks. Remember this.... No amount of pressure can stop an overloaded truck. The size of the brakes can only do so much. On a true hydroboost truck the brakes are huge because of the additional load on them.

the front port on my mc put out ~2,000psi. the rear puts out ~1,000psi. that is with vac breaks.

MAke sure to replace all your old rubber lines , calipers and wheel cylinders. All that extra oomph WILL find the weak link in the chain. My first test drive out, I did a panic test stop at the corner near the house and I went rolling right through the intersection as my foot went to the floor  left front caliper hadn't been replaced yet and it blew clean out
