I think I have a boost leak
94 7.3
When I first got truck a month ago I noticed it had alot of power and had sorta like a power band where I would feel boost at around 2k rpms
But I noticed it doesn't have it any more and is just sluggish. I can hear turbo spool up and everything.
So I bought a boost gauge and it only makes about 3 pounds.
What should I check for? I'm still learning about diesels

Nice looking truck. Can't help on what to look for other than leaks on high pressure side. All my trucks are non-turbo (for now) so I am not knowing...

Well your gonna take a look at where the compressed air comes out of the turbo and goes into the intake. You’re also going to look at the exhaust inlet side and check from there to the manifolds. That’s for turbo leaks. Pretty simple stuff. Also check air filter. But the turbo is not really what makes boost. The turbo is run by hot exhaust gases. Are all your injectors working right? Ip working right and timed correctly? Fuel turned up to match turbo? Does the turbo have a waste gate?

You also need to look at where the "intake hat" mates to the top of the intake manifold. If it looks like there's been oil blowing around all over, then you probably have a leak there. The bolt that holds the hat down might be loose, there's a seal/gasket underneath the hat and that could have been pushed out.
