Hydraulic oil

I have been burning a 50/50 mix of WMO in my superduty for a while now, my question is has anyone tried hydraulic oil? Do you guys think this is ok to burn in my truck, or should I stay away from it??

if you have an IDI it is the best thing you can run. not sure how a psd would handle it.

I burn pretty much any oil in my idi, i even mix them all together. your 50/50 mix is a waste of diesel . you dont really need to thin it out that much.

hydraulic oil is great! it flows well and you can run thicker mixes of it eaiser. i just missed getting a 55 gal drum of it once. grrrrrr

I have burned plenty of hydraulic oil in my truck, just make sure you filter it very well as it has the potential to have a lot more metal in it than WMO.
