How to replace headlight and parking light bulbs

Ok, I might not be the smartest tool in the box but I ned to replace one of my corner lights on the drivers side. From what I can see, I have to remove the battery to get to the back of the lights. PLEASE tell me that ford would not make replacing a light bulb that hard? Does anyone have any tricks
