How to Replace 1980-1996 F-Series Rear Tail Light Harness

If you are going from a flatbed to a standard bed or vice versa you may be in a position to replace the rear harness. Below is the 5 wires you need to cut and splice to a replacement harness. Typically Mr Tailight or similar. Bronco graveyard uses Mr. Tail light. The bulb sockets are the pre-brick nose. 1156 and 1157 bulbs. The OEM mapping I have below is for C6 Bricknose but there’s a lot of crossover between years.

I had my bed off a few years ago to add the 38 Gal Tank.
Put bed back on and could not get the lights to work. Had no loose wires hanging, and thought it was a ground, but what wire?
Finally out of frustration took it to a shop. They said they added a ground wire. Still don`t see what wire they added and charged $260.
