duralift pumps are puller pumps. you can always go with a pusher pump....

I enjoy the Carrier pump frequently, as I haul refrig cargo daily. The pump is mounted next to the tank, and pushes it way up to the unit.

i guess it all depends on the style of the pump.
rotary and diaphram.
i had a faucet diaphram pump on mine for all about 3 weeks
in the frame, inplace of my FSV.
it died.
i installed a holley black pump (high flow rotary) and a regulator and was good to go.
