Well i know how large the HE 351 VE is quite huge compared to say the 093 ATS or other kits for these trucks...

Pics a d more pics...good luck with the build.

What do you plan to use for the control of variable vanes?

My thought on controlling the vanes is using a Hobbs air switch on both sides of the turbo one in the y pipe so when a certain pressure is met the 12v is switched to a 12v electtonic actuator to open the vanes and once the pressure is wasted the vanes will slowly close again and at the same time I want to put a ten pound Hobbs switch on the charge side of things to open the vanes when max boost is met because I don't want to make it over 10 lbs and once the vanes are open I'm going to have to keep an eye at the boost Guage maybe put an aux wastegate in. This is all a theory though we will see how things go

Btw, that spool is HUGE! How well do you think it will match the IDI's exhaust flow? Curious about what RPM it will start to build boost at.

I could have sworn that someone used a vgt turbo on a custom remote setup. I think he used a wastegate to physically move the arm that adjusted the vanes. It was a while ago that I read the thread, not sure if it was here or on FTE. It was fairly detailed.
