So my 01 7.3 now has electrical issues.
States that the passenger side bank is having an issue with a code of P1273
Where should I start?
Passenger side valve cover harness?
The driver side had issues before and I've replaced the pig tail.
Could the other side cause this?

Yes valve cover harness including the under cover harnesses.ive seen some SD have the clip break of the connector under the covers.the harness wiggling around in the gasket can cause your problem

sweet, makes sense. this issue did occure when i was fixing a fuel leak on the pass side head. rear banjo bolt was leaking.
it took me a minute to get the up pipe back on.

reading your signature, i see you want to do a pontiac v8 in your 82...
i have a 97 T/A im thinking of throwing a 400 with a set of 16's on, and a ST-10
i run a 1930 oldsmobile with a 389, those ponchos are fun!;Sweet

Back in 1978 my dad bought a 71 f250.
We pulled the 360 out and replaced it with a 390.
This was our camping rig for the rest of our life.
36 years later, it just got a fresh set of heads, cam, intake and carb.
All because the exhaust manifolds cracked.
We have taken that truck 3/4 the way across the contential US.
I love me some FE's ill swear by em because they have never left me stranded.
I also have a Vdrive flat bottom with a 428 CJ.
It's a beast!

That little buick v6 aint gonna be in there much longer.

Ive had my fair share of ford gassers.had a 79 f350 car carrier that had a 351m,after putting 3 motors in that truck in a week,we finally stuffed a 460 in it.72 f350 wrecker with a 360,gutless gas hog that couldnt get out of its own way.got my hands on a 428 out of a t bird.i used to twist the splines off the slip yoke on the driveshaft once a week.87 f350 car carrier with a carbed 460,plenty of power, passed everything but a gas station,88 f350 crew cab dually with an efi 460,passed everything but a gas station.

I love a 460 but the fuel bill will kill you.bought my first diesel and will never go gasser again.

I will not own or build chevy anything.everybody and thier mother has something chevy powered.small block chevy swaps are way overdone, they will stuff a SB into anything like theyre building something cool, nothing cool about something everybody has.chevy trucks are built for comfort more than to actually work it.its a truck for joe shmo homeowner to go to home depot for a sheet of plywood and PTA meetings.

Where did you get the first replacements that were brittle?i do not recomend aftermarket parts for the valve cover gaskets and harnesses.theyre arent that expensive from an IH dealer.

Must be Dorman parts. Stay away from the imported junk. Ford or International is your best bet. A little pricey upfront, but you wont be replacing them every six months.
