So, is there anyone else around with an M-B diesel? I've got an '85 W-123 300D, and have had it since July 2002. I've go almost 265K miles on it now, and while there are issues with the body and front suspension, the drivetrain is running absolutely beautifully. I hope to eventually replace my car with a 123 body 30TD wagon or a 126 body 300SD, although that's likely going to be sometime in the future.
