Heater Coolant Restrictor

Well here is the pics I promised about what I found one day in my heater port on the drivers side head. The part is no longer available from Ford but this is what the demensions of the rubber restrictor. You can make it up and just push it into the brass fitting. You will need to remove it from the head to do this. I still haven't found out why its in this fitting either. Maybe for the west coast type trucks that don't need full flow to the heater.

Sorry all. I have no idea what I'm doing with the pics. I did work all day today installing my motor. The leveling of the motor on the hoist took the most time. I slid it in under the hook after I removed the spring thingys and proped it open. Funny thing was how easy it mated up with the torque converter. Thats all thanks to Old Mr Bill. He gave me the lodown on how its done the easy way....

Well I'm still trying to post my pics. The pics are between 2.17mb and 2.72 mb. Are these too large to post here?

Yes they are much to large, you'll need to resize them down to around 800 Kb each or there bouts.

This link http://www.irfanview.com/ here takes you to a small program I use to change sizes of images. I find it is simple to use and seems to work well.
