Headlights flickering

On my 86 6.9 the high beams work pretty good for what they are, but when I go to the dims they either flicker or don't work at all. What is the best way to fix this issue?

You have a loose wire connection on the low beams. Check all of the connections and grounds. Have fun, these are a ***** to find.

Mine would do it on high or low beams. Turned out to be the on/off switch was toast

If you want to do the shotgun approach and just try replacing something, the most likely culprit is the dimmer switch in the floor. They also have new plug/wire pigtails if the wiring plug is corroded bad also.

Ya its usually the dimmer switch.

Thanks everybody looking at the switch will be my first approach to tackle this problem.
