Sure happy its a simple fix. Instead of new bolts why not a couple of washers under the bolts and the plate??? But at least you found an easy fix. Now some brakeclean. then some RTV and thats that.

A hacksaw will cut a few threads off. But then again a couple of washers would do the job./\ /\ /\. But shiny new bolts looks better when you stoop over to look. Then again, a trail of oil to the hardware is good, easy to find your way back home.

I've posted this before and I can't take credit for thinking of it:

A Prius is powered by three things: 1.) a small gasoline engine, 2.) a large electric motor and 3.) the "smugness" of its owners.LOL

The way I like to explain it to my tree hugging friends; 1.) Oil for the gasoline engine, 2.) Coal/Natural Gas for the electric motor and 3.) the "smugness" of its owners. :D

(I borrowed that one too!)

Its dry. Just drove 15 miles of highway and not a drip:D 2.20$ in flange bolts and blue locktite seems to have fixed it. It did want to ride up on the lip of the block but a little wiggling got it seated.

Thanks for the great update and the talk referring to the lip and how the plate tends to "ride up on it". Thats a good point for all those installing a block off plate. This knowledge has been around for years but best to bring it up once in a while too.
