Hard start

My trauck is now here and there giveing hard starts. Maniny when cold around 70 degrees or less. Lots white/grey smoke.Fuel filter mabe 2 months old. Anything else I need to look for? Plenty of oil.

Brand new...Like 4 months. Motor spins fine. The white smoke means not enough fuel if Im not mistaken.

White smoke is unburnt fuel so either you have low compression and arent lighting off like you should or you need to check your GP system.

+1 on the glow plugs, check your relay first, jump it for 30 seconds when the engines cold with a pair of insulated pliars and see how she lights off, then work your way towards the valve cover wiring if that doesn't solve it....
