Then install the cathode pill in the radiater under the cap. Then if any electrical action is going on it will eat away the protective pill first. Replace as needed. So far nobody has posted about any aluminum radiaters having a failure. Mine has been run for almost 8 years now but.. Mine is the top of the line Rodney Red.

Do you have any info on this cathode pill? I have a Rodney Red radiator, and don't want to have any issues with it. LOL

I'm super impressed with the radiator, just don't want to buy another one.

I often grind up a zinc penny and throw it into the cooling system

That wont do any good. An anode must be well connected to another metal object to work. Even the ones on a silly chain dont protect the system. It must be tightly bonded together to work.
