got it done for 900 includeing a HD converter and all updated parts.thank god i know the owner of the tranny shop!!i put it back in this morning.have i ever told you that i hate that ATS exhaust!!?

anyways it seems ok.i dont care for the 1/2 upshift.it fels like it sorta hits neutral then shifts.i dont remember it ever doing that.the other shifts are soft and almost cant feel them.it had nice crisp shifts since i got the truck till it blew up.tranny guy said it toasted everything inside for the forward gears.also said the last person to rebuild it didnt do it right and was surprised it lasted as long as it did.gonna run it by the tranny shop and have them check it out cause i dont like the way it shifts.

but dureing the install i broke the shift lever range sensor.i picked one up at the junkyard.now you guys are gonna laugh at me.i did the most stupid thing in my life!!!i crawled under it to install the new sensor.truck wasnt running.and not thinking i went to loosen the nut on the shift lever wich in turn put the truck in reverse  .and yes i got run over by my own truck :rotflmao cookoo .i tried to lay down flat and hope the front axle would go over me.that didnt happen.i got wedged between the axle and the pavement.good thing my buddy was there as well.he hopped across the hood of some guys car, ripped the door open and jammed the brakes on.i got dragged about 4 feet before he could get in it and stop it.i ended up with some nasty scrapes on my left side of my back and a big bump on my upper right arm.other than that im fine.

mental note:do not get under truck and mess with shifter prts without the ebrake on or wheels blocked especially on a hill.

I've always worried about doing something like that to myself. Althought I more expect it to be due to a jack failure or something. I once worked at an auto auction as a driver, and I had a guy ask me to pop the hood, so he could look at the engine. Next thing I know, the car rears up and takes off. I stood on the brake, and it was over as soon as it started. Turned out the guy decided to rev the engine, never asking me if it was in nuetral or park. Damn fool ran over himself.

good to hear you survived...

Now for the question everyone is wanting to ask but is afraid...

Did your buddy get a video of it trying to runaway from ya when you went to wrench on her? Dude it's pretty bad when your truck doesn't want you to work on it....
