Made it home, I'm so glad everyone enjoyed themselves. What a great group of folks. It's easy to have a great time with great people. Positive attitudes from everyone. We received compliment from Lock 30 and they asked us back, Mr. Best's wife complimented us on our children's behavior, and our politeness', and they were glad we came. You guys are the best! Can't wait until next year. Here's some pictures I took http://community.webshots.com/album/286337380sgkYkF Russ

LOL Aric, you got that right! Trooper was just that-- a trooper thru the whole weekend! I was very impressed with our well behaved IDI doggies... I tried to make Trooper a Georgia Bound great dane hehe and Diesel was absolutely GORGEOUS. I loved the little " Rosie Russel" and the " Bassador Retriever", and I shared alot of food with Elsie! :)

George, since you brought it up I guess I should explain. I asked Suzi if I could play a joke on Mel, because of his past comments about that smiley and because he had made a few remarks there being silly. She gave me her full support. I put a bra on OVER MY CLOTHES with slits in the cups and pushed baby bottle nipples thru the slits, and had a button up sweater over it. We got back from buying my " supplies" just in time to get in on the fireside introductions. As we were getting out of the truck, my daughter met us at our site to tell us that " all of the kids" were playing tag and she was with them. Anyway, after BJ got done with our introduction, Mel made a smart @$$ comment, and I knew the kids that would " get it" were out of the area, so I flashed him with my makeshift boobs, in front of every one. It was all in good fun, and wasn't in any way detrimental to any childrens well being. I'm sorry that you feel offended by anything that anyone else said about your meet, and that you still harbor bad feelings over it. I had a good time at your place and enjoyed our visit with everyone there and was sorry that you and Flo were not in Ohio. However I also feel like its time to " put it in the past" and move on. Wendy and Rob did an EXCELLENT job with the kids games, and Gary and Patty did an amazing job on making it a fun and family oriented event, I don't want to take away from that. To Rob and Wendy, Patty and Gary, if my prank on Mel DID do that, you have my sincerest apologies. Hope that explains, and ends, any " controversy" over it.

( as an aside, sorry for the bad spacing in this post, the spacebar on this comp at work went haywire!!!)

I'm not sure what happened at geo's place, but I know what Tanya did in OH was harmless fun. Unexpected... and funny. No apllogies needed there Tanya.
As far as the "puritan" events comment, ???? I'm not sure where that came from. Adult beverages were consumed by adults during the weekend, but I wouldn't call it a kegger. I just hope we can drop this subject and keep with the orinigal topic of this post. Russ

Wow - FLASHING?? :hail ;Sweet

Now THAT might be worth selling the Dodge and picking up an IDI! :D

Seriously, sounds like you guys all had a great time. I would have LOVED to have seen the expression on Mel's face.

I hate to bust the party up here, but there will be no BEEFS with anybody in this thread. This thread is borderline off topic for this forum to begin with but I generally let the IDI crowd do as they wish in here. So with that said, keep this thread on the original topic about the doings at the IDI gathering or take it to PM. Consider this the last word on this subject from me. The next will be a lock.

Scott... You need to get an IDI and come. Heck if you just own one long enough to turn a wrench on it then Your an Offical IDI'er and welcome... Heck I brought the goat and cleaned up after her so the place would not smell ;p LOL

I must say that we have all talked about looking forward to next years event on our trip home. Sherman has not shut up about the event yet... ;Sweet ;Sweet ;Sweet It's Mikey this and Mikey that then it's Doug this and Doug that... So I would say that Sherman enjoyed himself.

Gruss looking forward to maybe getting together later on in the year if I can swing it (time off / new job)...

Ohhhhhh... Kaaayyyy. I see I've missed something here, but never mind. Guess it's hard to parachute in having been on vacation after the rally. Just wanted to say how great a time we had, and am glad everyone made it and made it home. The location was fantastic, and the weather great. Hit rain coming and going, but at least it left us alone when it really counted. I very much enjoyed meeting all the new people, and I hope Heath, Joe Perry, Carl, Barney, Russ Ward, Eric, Larry, Joe Lewis, and T444EPSD (??? forgot his name. :sorry: and hope I didn't forget any newbies) are hooked to come to the next one. The IDI Weekend has evolved into a very splendid event over the years, and each one has its own special qualities. It's too bad that not more of us didn't take advantage of the drag strip activity, but the timing for it just wasn't the best with so many arriving at the same time. I think the group would have really enjoyed that one. Of course there were others who missed out on some things including the truck group photo, and some of the other stuff, but at least you made it to some portion of the thing, and we were all able to put names to the faces. Thanks to everyone for sharing your time and lives with us!

cant wait till we meet again

Too all on the board weather you made it to this years ralley or not I cant think of any board around that is so friendly and helpful and hopefuly in the future we can all meet up and share stories. We really enjoyed the ralley and cant wait to do it again wish we could have gotten there earlyer and stayed later but with me an Tanya changing jobs this year made it imposible but next year will be a different story.

If you are and IDI nut like we are you need to attend a meet. you will be hooked as we are. I would really like to see this ralley grow to something that we can really brag about a true BROTHER HOOD. ;Sweet
