Once you change to the hydroboost your brakes will amaze you how well the stop the truck. The vacuum booster can supply about 1000 lbs of line pressure and the hydroboost can supply about 2100 lbs of braking pressure in the lines. Not every stop makes that much pressure but its available on tap when you need it.

Parts needed for this swap for my 93 f350 are pedal assembly, booster, lines and power steering pump correct? what year trucks came with these parts? anything else that should be done in conjunction?
i think my master cylinder is shot, so i may do this sooner than later

The 4x4 shift part I broke mine few years ago.
At the time I worked at a ag manufacturing plant, talked with guy that did special welding stuff,
he said its a type of "pot" metal and pretty difficult to keep it welded.
IIRC, I talked with some salvage yards and they would not take that off good transfer case.
I ended up going to Ford.

hey that is good info, and what i suspected about that metal. i ended up getting a replacement from rock auto, its cheap but works just fine
