Got 2 problems.

1. My tachometer works fine for a bit, then it will die down to where it only shows about 200 rpms, but when I press the gas it will move up a little.

2. My rear anti-lock brake light stays on? Does it mean anything?

well for your tachometer sensor its either the connection is bad or the sensor is bad

As for problem #1, I'd say sensor is going bad. You can try cleaning the magnet on it to see if that helps, but a replacement is most likely what you'll need.

As for problem #2, my '90 F150 did the same thing. If it has the sensor on the rear axle (upper part of the pumpkin), check the wiring at the sensor. You can also remove the bolt holding it in and remove the sensor. Clean all the old oil and sludge off of it and put in back in. That's what fixed my problem. ;Sweet

Thanks for the info. I will just replace the tach sensor. And I will be cleaning the ABS sensor soon.
