Yes but.. I'm betting its already gone for that price. You have that much in scrap value almost... The trans will get you around $1000.00 if its working well..

ZF5's usually go for about $500 around here, and a running IDI is also worth about $500. Well worth the asking price.

FYI, I'm gonna look at it in an hour, its very close to me, and yes, that's a good price, but even if it was perfect (and it ain't according to the owner) it really wouldn't fetch more than about $1900 out here.
Icanfixall, I gotta ask where you are getting your transmission pricing from. I have posted a 2wd ZF5 for the past three weeks on CL with zero response at $450 obo and now $250 obo. If you've got folks willing to pay a grand for them, I'll start digging them up and getting the pallets ready........
Please don't be offended, I just want to know if there's a serious shortage or difference in market pricing in your area

Let us know what's up with this truck man. Yeah here in Oregon the 2WD ZF-5's don't go for much it seems like. The 4WD ZF's can get 500 though, without a T-case.

I really have no idea what ZF's bring in other areas and as for outing my sourse.. Nope... I can't do that. This is really not my area of expertise so I'm not in a position to "tell on someone"...
Most items out here on the west coast are expensive when it comes to things like this but... A rust free radiator core support is around $50.00 all day long. Most of them end up in the crusher too. I know thats a killer for many of you but thats what it is out here. Rust free metal being crushed all the time. A few years ago I was talking to Mel about collecting lots of core supports and taking them to his location. Then they could be advertised and sold thru him. Beds, fenders and doors are a tuff item to deal and transfer. I was thinking along the lines of a trailer with a rust free bed on it filled with core supports and fenders and doors...

FYI, I looked at that truck yesterday late morning. Its probably a great work truck if you want something to haul heavy stuff, but it was pretty rough.
The bad: No wait to start light, but the relay was clicking, but kicked off early. Starter cranked way slower than my truck. Couldn't start without ether. Lots of dents, rattlecan touchup/overspray. No radio. The condition kinda reminded me of a 2wd logging truck. The real deal breaker for me was the red interior, I believe you guys refer to it as "**** Star Red".......
The good: I believe it was lower mileage as it idled smooth and ran nice when I did get it lit. Just too rough of a truck for me to be anything but a flat hauler/logger/work truck.
Definitely seen better deals, but probably worth a grand to somebody, just not me.
If anybody is interested, this truck is about 6 minutes from my house.
