Pulling my glow plugs one of them came out no problem but the new one wont drop down in could there just be carbine build up stopping it?. May i just have to spray some carb cleaner down there and clean like injector bores?, any one else run int this before.

Is the one you removed the same length as the one you are installing?

Did it have ANY SWELLING OF TIP or appear deteriorated or burned away?

Can you install CARFULLY a long straight wire into hole and if so further than what a gp would go in?

Did you take a bright light and look and see if hole is obstructed?

Report back...

More info needed before suggestions can be offered.

The rest of my old plugs came out, when removing this one it felt tighter than the others and is the same size, length ect as the new ones. I looked down in the hole and seemed very dirty and at the moment are soaking with carb cleaner and brushing then are going to turn over engine to blow out and gunk left in there, hoping this will work. The old plug i removed seemed a little burnt not swollen tho.
