about two weeks ago i installed a manual push button and disabled the controller.
well to day it hasnt been above 10 degrees, and had a really hard time starting, finally got it started, my issue is that the plugs are receiving constant heat not much just for the light to be dim, i disconnected the power to the relay and the push button but plugs are still getting heat what is my problem?

thanks for the help

How did you install the manual button? You have the early system with the glowplug relay on the pass side fender correct?

My guess is your glow plug relay is getting ready to take a sh*t on you.

It's probably just stuck half way (half way on, and half way off)

Get a new relay and you should be fine.......If it hasn't fried your glow plugs, I'd suggest unhooking the batteries til you get the relay replaced.

White wire? Should be a purple wire....

the ****** part is that the relay is brand new its been in the truck two weeks

Where did you get the relay? I got a relay from Autozone and a week later it fried.

Yes, that's the later system that mounts on the engine near the firewall.

I would check for voltage at the plugs. Just because the dash light might be on dim, doesn't mean the plugs are necessarily getting power.

Yeah man, that's the new style controller.

I have no clue how to hookup push buttons to the new style.
