does anyone know if you can just get the round plug on the end that snaps into the glow plug somewhere ?

You should be able to use a bullet connector one that is insulated in nylon. You can get these or should be able to at industrial supply houses.

Thanks , I'm gonna check tomorrow. Replaced all my glow plugs today and found that two arent connected because it disintegrated.
