93 7.3 IDI. Replaced injector orings and washers. Broke all fuel lines at injectors 1/4 turn, bled all air off and tightened down. Number 2 and 6 cylinder injector fuel lines will not prime. Number 2 just shoots air and number 6 does nothing at all. Yes, bled air at shroder valve on filter. FSS is working. Everything worked fine prior to seal replacment.

You do not have to bleed the lines on these engines. The air will work it's way out the return lines at each injector by itself.

Pulled both batteries off trickle charge yesterday. They are full. Also had jumpers on one this morning. I have cranked for 5 second intervals up to 20 second intervals letting the starter rest for 2 minutes or more, been at it all day, so much cranking yes I'm beginning to think pump is bad.....glow plugs work, aftermarket manual. Also have tried putting rag in exhaust to build up heat, this has worked for me in the past before manual glow plug install.

Just don't use glowplugs, use a small shot of ether. Ether works best in these situations, because as long as the engine is cold, it'll increase cranking speed and comnustion, even if there isn't quite enough fuel.

also, are you bleeding with the throttle floored? You should be.

You can remove the glowplugs to spin the engine over quickly and not wear on your starter and batteries

If you are getting enough fuel out of 6 injector lines and everything else is working right, why you try to start it? Maybe it's just a little stubborn and even a poorly running engine will be spinning faster than the starter can ever turn it.

If you have stinky white smoke coming out of the exhaust while cranking, you are getting fuel.

I am bleeding with throttle wide open. How does removing the glow plugs make the engine roll over faster? I thought the same, if 6 are getting fuel it should be enough to start up but apparently not, tried many times. I am gun shy on using the ether but will try this route

It acts like pulling spark plugs from a gasser, theres much less resistance for the engine to turn since it pushes air out of the cylinder instead of compressing it

Can you count the starter revolutions to the engine when cranking? If yes then your starter is well worn and can't spin the engine fast enough to make the heat for the compression combustion. the faster then engine cranks over the hotter the air is being compressed. a slow cranking engine is a hard starter no matter where you are.

If you are getting white stinky smoke out of the pipe, you are getting fuel. I would disconnect the glowplugs and give it a shot of ether. It should take off, even if only on 6 cylinders. This may not be a permanent fix, but at least you would see if it will run. Just a short burst from the can into the intake should be all it needs to try and run.
