hauled off some scrap metal yesterday. weighed in at a little over 8100 lbs total each time. got on the 4 lane highway and stayed around 50-55 mph. filled the truck up before i left and when i got back after the 2nd load. went 109 miles on 5.130 gallons of diesel. averaged out at 21.24 mpg. i was shocked!!! this is with 4:10s and 305/70/16s. just thought i would share! :D

I got 18 mpg at my last fill up. I thought I was doing real good at that mpg, over 20 is great mileage!

8100 pounds.... thats about what mine weighs empty with the rear tank full and a smidge of fuel in the bed tank:rotflmao but it wil get a hair over 20 mpg in double over at 62 mph ;Sweet Running around mostly highway it'l average 18.5-20 now ( after extensive modifications :D if slogging through traffic in town its more like 10-15. Nothing to get excited about but thrilling when you think what a big block gasser would be inhaling  :kick:

I really dislike these factory gauges.:backoff. The reason is b/c i was estimating my MPG by looking at the fuel gauge and guessing how many gallons i used to go "x" amount of miles.

The other day i acutally calculated out my MPG and i got 18.5 highway & 17 city.:D
