i seem to have a leak in the top of my fuel filter housing/water seperator. it looks like it's coming out of the switch or sender that goes into the top. can anyone tell me what that switch is? do i have to change the housing? if i need to change the housing, is ford the best place to get a replacement?

also, i've noticed alot of fuel or water dripping from the bottom of the filter (i'm assuming that's where the water drips out). is this correct?

I think you are talking about the fuel filter sensor or the fuel heater in the filter head, those I believe can be replaced individually. Also the fuel/water dripping at the bottom pf the fuel filter may be the little drain plug that comes with the water separator it could be loose and that'll be the reason for the fuel dripping down there. That assuming you have the 7.3l fuel filter, I really don't remember how the 6.9 looks like but I think it is different.
