fuel leak

why would fuel come out of the wire plug on top of the fuel filter top mounting area? just started.the wore plug have an oring? 1993 f250 turbo factory7.3

Welcome to the forum. Yes, there is an o-ring in there and its a leaker on many filter heaters. The cost about $2.00 at International so just don't try to buy this at ford. They will charge you an arm and a leg if they have it. Buy two and keep a spare. It will leak in the future. To get this out you remove the filter. Then remove what the filter screws on to. Then just push out the fitting from the top. You can buy a new heater id needed on ebay for around $70.00. I will post what it looks like later...
