How much importance have these shower heads?
in my rear tank there was non, and in my front tank it was sooo brittle that when I was taking that unit out, it broke off and dropped in the tank.
The silver lining around the cloud is that I'm taking out the tanks to have them steam cleaned to get rid of these algae in the diesel.

It's common for people to take them off and just put a small piece of hose on the end of the pickup to get to the bottom of the tank, and cut a V in it so it doesn't suction itself to the bottom of the tank.

So, Today I got around to cut the filter, it doesn't look like much, but it defenitly spoiled my week, to clean everything etc.

At the filter base where the sensors are, you see the slight brown layer, I think that's the "pesky bacteria", that is in the tank as well, and in the diesel entry line from the filter head etc.

some more:
If you look at the paper filter itself, it looks not bad? I was suprised to see that, until you look a bit better on the unfolded "harmonica", there you see that the whole filter media is covered with this sticky tough layer of lightbrown "goop"!

I wonder, I still need to clean the pick-up units (with fuel level sender) but just in case I might be a bit too harsh on them, are they still available new? for the metal in frame tank, and the plastic behind the axle tank?

I have no Idea why, but most plastic (or rubber) parts desintergrate when you touch them?

Does anyone have a design how they should be? in order to get the fuel system to work again?
Thank you in advance.

You can just run a length of fuel rated rubber hose. Just angle cut it or make a T so it doesn't suction on the bottom of the tank.

Run some DeiselKleen in your fuel tank. It’s designed to help with the low sulfur diesel fuel were forced to run nowadays.

Gray is for all year round, white is for winter, has added anti-gel additive.
