Transfer Flow doesn't make the kits for the old trucks anymore because the most important part of their kit was a Ford part that isn't made anymore. That part is a different style of roll over valve that was specifically used in the F-Superduty truck fuel tanks that allows a much larger vent hose to be attached. Check out the upfitters document Q-29 for more details on the part numbers and new grommet number. Transfer Flow used one part for both kits but Ford offered two part numbers, one for the midship tank and one for the rear. You can still find used ones in F-Superduty trucks in wrecking yards every now and then but be really careful pulling them out as they are very fragile by now. A few years ago I bought the last new one that Transfer Flow had for my project and to find that one I had to beg the guy to dig around their shop and engineering offices to find it. I do have the Transfer Flow install instructions for the old trucks and they are helpful to visualize what needs to be done to create your own version. Several folks over the years on other forums have posted their efforts to mimic these with mixed efforts and results. I like the results for the two trucks I've done, they don't let you run the big pump wide open to fill but it's far superior to being stuck on click 1 on the auto nozzle. The biggest issue I found with the old parts I took out is that the rubber tube that goes down the middle of the filler neck to actually put the fuel in the tank has softened and partially collapsed over the years and that was a big part of the backup. If there was a way to just replace that internal rubber hose, it would be a great middle ground to make fill ups livable again without having to do all the modification which was kind of a pain.
Tried to attach the PDFs from Transfer Flow but not sure if people can see or get them. PM me if you can't get them from this post and I'll send them by message. Or someone let me know how I can post them for people to download.
