Frost plug removal

How does one remove a concave frost plug?

Same as you remove any other freeze plug, punch and hammer, then pull it out with some pliers if it doesn’t pop out on it’s own.

I tried using a punch. Seemed kinda solid. Is there a lil on the back side stopping the plug.

You punch a hole in the plug to aid in turning side ways to get out.

These flat disc plugs do have a lip behind so you can’t turn them sideways. I like to drill a hole in the center and thread in a large sheet metal screw, then pull out with a nail bar. No drama, no chance of knocking anything and creating a leak later.
