Freeze Plugs In

Yesterday I watched the other shop install all 7 of my stainless steel freeze plugs. I had prepped the block with hydro plates that I made up and pressurized to 35 lbs.. I used some Snoop Leak detector (made by Swagelok). No leaks found. The shop had the special tool for the freeze plug installation and it really wasn't that big of a deal. I still don't understand why the first shop screwed the installation so badly. I did find out they don't have the special tool but geez... Its not rocket science... I'll be taking pictures of these plates so everyone will understand what I have fabricated.

Can you get a photo of the "Special Tool" for installing the plugs? Or a link to a site that sells it? Inquiring minds want to see. Okiegringo

Oh man it's so good to hear something went right for you on this build for a change as I've been lurking in the dark reading your posts along the way. Hopefully it's a sign of better things to come, got my fingers & toes crossed fer ya
