Well... I found out why my motor went hot so quickly.... I lost a freeze plug above the oil cooler. Thats the second time I have lost a freeze plug. The first one was the rear plug above the cooler. Now its the front one.
I will have the motor out tomorrow and taken apart so I can see what damage was done. Then its off the the shop and giving them what for.. Why did the plugs they installed are falling out. The first one poped out with 2 miles on the motor. This one has 5200 miles on it. I have been watching my coolant very slowly going somewhere and saw the tinyest leak of coolant around one plug. That plug is still in the motor but now shows more stains of leakage. So in closeing I should have paid attention to the overtemp lits and pulled over..... If there was a place to pull over. Still I should be able to depend on a shop doing work that is dependable. I have a feeling they had someone working on this motor that didn't know what they were doing. At least installing freeze plugs on the drivers side of the motor. The passenger side is tight and dry. Just like things are supposed to be. It suxs to be me and for sure the shop that is going to be doing so warranty work.
