Changed the FIPL the other day and now the trans shifts really soft and kinda has a "flare" to it when shifting into overdrive. The last time it did that, I was able to adjust the FIPL, but I can remember what voltage setting I put it on. I think at closed throttle it was 1.2 volts... can anyone confirm? By the way, am I running on borrowed time with the shift flare in OD, or is there something else I could do to resolve the shift flare?

The voltage is .96 up to 1.2 volts. The higher the voltage the firmer the shift is. I'm running 1.35 volts on my BTS. Be careful you don't go so high the cpu shuts down. It will go to limp home mode around 5 volts.

It only has the flare when shifting into OD, and even then it only happens sometimes. The last time it did that, I replaced the FIPL and set the voltage to (something I can't remember) and it quit having the flare.... but still.... maybe I should be looking for a 5 speed donor truck.
