I need to order some filter and I went to filter1 to get them but they want much more for them than they used to. The IDI fuel filter 33617 is like $27 I can get it cheaper local. I went to filterbarn website but they want the OEM #'s and I only have wix #'s anyone want to help Me with this?

Btw on the filterbarn site I found the 33617 but they cross reference to 33417 is this the same filter? Do they sell only fram filters or are this wix filters?

That seems like a deal!! The Napa here in town wanted $38. I almost passed out.

I used to pay $16 for the same filter at the same website so I don't see why should I pay twice that now.

They are like $25 at autozone, I thought that was high but had to have it so I bought. Case quantity may be cheaper in various locations.

I still have some in stock but I like to have plenty at hand so I was ordering some at filter1 which is where I always got them but they are up too much now. Anyone know if they are cheaper at other places?

They have the Wix 33217 is the OEM style filter listed for 22.09 and the 33617 has drain and sensor port. No need to reuse the aluminum bowl that came with the truck listed for 21.55 each. the 33417 has a drain but no water sensor port for $19.16

The 33417 I am running on mine and the Filter actually was easier to put inposition then the OEM style.

Call filterbarn, ask them if they still deal Wix filters. I've always gotten Wix when I ordered. But someone recently posted they got some Fram filters when they ordered last time.

I've never seen anyone sell Wix filters cheaper than filterbarn.com

No they are not the same although either one can be used. The 33417 just has the drain but no water in fuel light sensor port. The 33617 has the drain and the water in fuel port that you have to use from the OEM base of the filter.

I've always had great luck and paid fair prices for a fleetguard filter from my local cummins or international dealer. Now I can order filters by the case and get them that much cheaper through our parts department.

Ditto. I could have sworn the last time I bought filters (about a month ago) I picked up a fuel filter and a short oil filter (both fleetguard) and the total bill was about $24 including tax. I was thinking the fuel filter was only about $12. I don't have my receipts handy though, so I can't be certain.
