F450 leafs on a TTB?

Well I've been searching for a hydra-boost set up and found one better... A running 450 gasser with a 5 speed and no bed. Ok now for the question.

I seen a few people on here talking about using AAL super duty front leafs on Dana 60 solid axels. What about on a TTB with proportioned drop brackets? I don't want a huge lift because its a work truck / farm truck / DD just a nice straight stance even if I have to beef the rear up to match the front.

What's your thoughts?

You're going to get around 3-4" of lift.at least that's what I got with them on my F350. I don't see an issue if you were to use the 4" TTB drop pivot brackets. Just get an alignment afterwards so the camber bushings can be set in spec.
You'll probably need a 4" block in the rear also to level it out.
Member named Leeland here on the forum has a set of 4" brackets he may be willing to sell if you're interested.

This is something that I was planning on doing myself. I already have the 450 springs front and rear and have the TTB yet. But I was going to wait until spring to do this since not only have I been so busy lately with working I can't do the downtime, but I am also looking at having to change out the IP as it is failing. So not only will I be watching this thread, but considering a straight axle as well (among other changes).

So I am really curious to see how well this works out for you. And how the truck looks with it's rear up higher.

looking at the 450 rear leaf pack today there is no way i want that much under the rear, not for a daily driver. id probably remove a couple leafs to level it back out. i too wont tackle it untill the spring when i do the cab, enigne and front clip. now possibly a 5 speed while im at it since ive gathered up 2 in the last couple months

I need to keep my eye for a set of them, that make my truck sit right. it has some unknow set of leaf in the rear, 12 driver 10 pass with 2" blocks. that an it dont got the brackes for the helpers

im sure a local junk yard would have a cheap pack of leafs. i'd hate to see the shipping from Pa to Illionis for a lousy set of leaf springs!

hate to see that bill as well, I will find them at some point. just go to know they will give me close to a 4in lift

I'd just buy a ttb lift IMO. The super duty springs set the axle back slightly (noticeable by looking) so you might want to think about what that's going to do to that ttb since your pivot points aren't moving.
