I've had it with no a/c and have replaced everything but the accumulator and the evaporator.

I tried to get the evaporator out and quit when it got late. There's one more screw at the very bottom near the firewall isn't there?

anyway, can I just make up a hose with a gauge and block off one end so that I can pressurize it and make sure it's sealed?

What's the maximum pressure it will see under normal conditons?

If you have the means tomake up an adaptor do it. The maximum pressure it could see is about 200 PSI. Operating pressure is only about 30 or so but on a really hot day with the AC off it could see 200.
Good Luck
