electrical problem

factory volt meter started jumping around reading somewhat higher than normal. shut truck off and turn key on it was like the batteries were gone. let it set twenty minutes and every thing was fine. what happened. joe

Voltage regulator? It's only a $12 part at most auto parts stores and they tend to go out somewhat regularly.

could be bad connections at the battery to. if they get corroded the reg can jump around from getting differant readings through the corrosion. happened to me before......
