I have the problem that i want to put in a electric speedometer sense my divorced 205 is so far away from the gauge its going to need a custom speedometer cable. I was thinking of using a conversion sensor but havent found one yet. But then i was thinking i could just use the ford cruise control sensor to run the speedometer. That would save me some money but i need to know if that would work with a aftermarket speedometer

That's not the cruise control sensor.
There was literally just a thread on this. I wish I could remember who all was in it.
You can take the psom and stuff from a obs to make the speedometer work in a older truck.

That's was me, I took a psom from a 92 and newer truck and put it into a brick nose (87-91) truck and ran it off the rear axle sensor, not a hard swap and I'll try and do a write up in a week or two.

It's a 86 truck so it doesn't have a tone ring on the axle. The cruise control gets the info the sensor on the Trans or t case in my case.
