My ifail is giving me grief...
Mel posted an in depth test he ran on a db2 with increasing psi input.
The facett pulls about one deg. of adv. out of the pump.
At some point it killed the advance altogether.
So retime your ip after the lift pump is in.
Fwiw
I run a facett.

that's an interesting way to make a normal battery terminal into a marine style.i would think the ears will break off after a while.you could try keeping them stronger by putting the top on too but if i were you,i would just buy some marine terminals and avoid a future breakdown.

You guys are ignoring the fact that a pump listed at 9-11 pounds static (no fuel flow) only puts out 5-6 psi with the engine running (at idle). This is due to the bypass of the filter, use by the engine, bypass of the injection pump, and the bypass of the injectors.

FWIW: The Facet website lists the operating pressure of pump number 40237 at 9-11 PSI.
There are a couple that run right at 4-7 PSI listed as well

Why not just install a pump that operates at the right pressure?

http://www.facet-purolator.com/dura-lift-pumps.php

yeah, that's what i say.when most of us are running the 4-7 psi version issue free (even with moose ip's) why not go with whats proven to work.:dunno

but one could argue with this 2 fold;
there are many running the 4-7 psi version without worry or issues and secondly, the oem lift pump only provides the same amount too,so if this wasn't enough to feed the ip,the fuel light would be on all the time and oem lift pump wouldn't be enough either.that said, you probably wont and shouldn't experience any issues with either pump.

Ok I am gunna bump this thread till I find the one dealing with the dash light coming on at full throttle...

My group buy pump, ats 093,stock rig is firing the fuel light on full pull situations.
No crap in the lines.
Gunna put a pressure gauge on the filter head.

I saw a post about a restrictor in the returns to up the feed inlet psi., any one else see this issue?

You mean the WIF light? Mine hasn't tripped any lights, but pretty much drops to 0 psi if I put the skinny pedal on the floor. Using a 40222 pump.
